Treasurer

Overview

The treasurer is a volunteer position, elected by the board to a one-year term until a qualified successor is elected.

Responsibilities

  • Custodian of Funds responsible for the Society’s bank accounts including deposit and paying approved bills
  • Monthly Reconciliation bank statements with Finance Chair every month to ensure the Society’s books match the bank’s records
  • Annual Budget participation for creating the annual budget
  • Treasurer Report presentation at board meetings including a Statement of Activity and a Balance Sheet
  • Annual Audit participation to maintain transparency with the members
  • Legal & Tax Compliance with critical filings including IRS Form 990, Annual Financial Report to Ohio Attorney General, and Sales Tax
  • Event Cash Management of cash boxes and day’s intake with another board member
